Visa for Digital Nomad in Bali

Visa for Digital Nomad in Bali

Apart from being a tourist destination, Bali is also a destination for digital nomads who want to work while enjoying the beauty of the island.

It should be emphasized that a digital nomad here is someone who works remotely for a company in another country and earns money there (not rupiah). Not someone who works for clients in Indonesia and is paid here in rupiah.

So, if you are a digital nomad working remotely and intend to stay in Indonesia, you have several visa options depending on how long you planning to stay in Bali.

  1. Visa on Arrival. You can apply for this visa if you intend to stay for less than 60 days. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. (You can see which countries are eligible for VOA here).
  2. B211A Visa (Single Entry). This visa is valid for 60 days and can be extended twice for another 60 days each. As a result, the maximum stay is 180 days. After 180 days, you can renew it without leaving the country.
  3. Multiple Entry Visa (Index D212). is granted to foreign nationals with a maximum visa validity period of 1 (five) years. The visa can be used to stay in Indonesian for a maximum of 60 days (two months) each arrival.
